It started with a promise
Storyborne grew out of Shield Maiden Racing, Inc. — a race team built around one idea: everyone deserves one more day worth showing up for. That belief shows up on a racetrack. Storyborne is what happens when it shows up somewhere you can hang it on a wall.
The first piece we ever made came from a night on a cruise ship. Two friends, matching wrestling shirts, and a joke that turned into a promise. We took that photograph and hand-built it into a full lucha-libre composition — masks, ring, championship belts, the whole scene — because the machine, or in this case the moment, is never the whole story. We preserve the person behind it and the meaning attached to it.
That’s the whole method, every time. You bring the photographs. We begin with why they matter. Nothing physical is ordered before you approve the final design, and the recognizable details — the ones only you would notice missing — stay exactly right.
Have a moment worth keeping?
Send the photographs. Tell us why they matter. We will begin there.
